Dentons

I would highly recommend Natasha!! She is patient, kind and really understands the kinds of issues I face on a day-to-day basis. I was diagnosed with dyslexia whilst still in education but was given no resources to tackle it.

My job involves working on different projects with changing priorities and more reading of reports and documents to which I need to respond quickly. I also felt that I didn’t truly understand how my dyslexia effected tasks such as these.

Natasha has helped me to understand the environments that suit me as an open plan office can be pretty distracting. Through targeted discussions and exercises,

Natasha has helped me discover my strengths, to enable me to develop strategies to work more efficiently.  She has vastly improved my confidence, not just as a solicitor but also as an individual. Couldn’t recommend her more!!!!

When dealing with the mind and being or feeling vulnerable, trust is crucial as is being comfortable with the practitioner. I was quickly put at me ease and this helped me to open up and deal with the underlying issues. All in all very beneficial, challenging but well worth it.

The coaching was purposeful, hard work, but I felt valued and was given tools which enabled me to grapple and resolve issues thereby growing.  The reports were good as they enabled me to grapple with an idea. These resolving into something tangible e.g. the diary and Filofax. I initially sort of knew what I wanted but it took time to ground into something solid and useful.

The coaching also enabled me to rediscover skills I had forgotten about. This has given me confidence and a better sense of self-belief.  My family work colleagues and friends have all notice a great difference in my demeanor - for the better

The area’s we had down to cover, we did but in an informal way. You listened to me and looked at my issues and asked the right questions. You did not come up with the solution, however you pushed me to come up with my own solutions.

You gave me the skills and the confidence to plan. You explained the importance of planning even though it might seem to be a time waster, but it is not. You understood my needs and my issues with dyslexia, a lot of it is confidence and working differently.

Your approach is very professional and yet personal, you tailored the session around me not what you had to get through on the list. You are very understanding and enlighten to the concept of self-improvement and growth not just in the work place but in life. You are a very positive person and you are looking to help people improve.

I would recommend you to people for work place coaching, as well as life coaching.

I am not just saying it but thank you for all your help and encouragement, to help me change. I have to do the work but you have helped me and given me tools to use. I have to implement this now.

Thank you very much for all your help in my work life and personal life (you did not know that you had help there as well).

It was really great that we were able to tailor the session to what I needed to cover at the time of the sessions.  I found it helpful to just discuss what were my current challenges and barriers as a baseline, then work through them to turn it on its head to become my opportunities and strengths. To gain an understanding on my dyslexia that is unique to me and makes me who I am and not a negative thing.

I found it very useful when we worked through mapping out how I could approach writing the cabinet paper using Mind View.  I guess if I had more time, I would do more of this using the new software I was provided to other pieces of my work.

It was interesting to compare my scores at the beginning and my scores at the end to see how the sessions and even my perception of my abilities has changed. When I started these sessions, I was in a low place in my confidence, only had a negative view of my dyslexia and under high levels of pressures from my work – so I was nervous about what to expect and worried about feeling judged and to be honest a little bit silly as an adult seeking help now.  You quickly dispelled these fears and negative thoughts and just through talking and setting me mindfulness tasks (although felt silly at first) really helped. So, thank you.

I will still have good days and bad days, but with your suggested approach I think I will have more of the good days or at least quickly turn them back into good days.

The Cabinet Office

The coaching was hugely useful. The interventions you put in place were simple but highly effective.

You worked with me to understand my individual needs and quirks, and suggested improvements I could make to my working patterns and habits. These have had a tangible effect, both on the quality of my proofreading and the structuring of my written work.

It was almost like a therapy session, in that rather than being prescriptive, it allowed me to reflect on the way I did things, and almost self-diagnose.

I'd say; you helped build a clear, open, constructive environment, you were patient and asked good, 'nudging' questions that drew out some underlying mentalities and behaviours.

Your recommendations and coping mechanisms were practical and useful. Being held to account was very useful.

If I'm honest I was a bit sceptical at first about how the sessions would work and what I would get out of it. But I have to say your very positive approach really helped me to see the benefits and to start to get some new strategies.

You are very approachable and I found it easy to talk and share my thoughts etc. And not judgemental in any way. You gave lots of really practical ideas, rather than some text book style approaches, and that helped me see how simple some of the things I can do are.

I have already seen some changes and without your support, I doubt I would have. So thank you.
